Spend Your Summer Right With Camps and Teen Programs
Believe it or not, spring is right around the corner and after that, you know what’s next: summer! Now’s the time to explore options for summer camps and other teen programs designed just for you, to learn something new and keep yourself busy during vacation. There are really tons of options! Are you an artist (or aspiring one)? There are a number of different art camps including ones that deal with fashion or digital media. The Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center at the University of Maryland and the Arts/Harmony Hall Regional Center are hosting theater workshops for those who fancy themselves as actors or actresses. If you want to spend your summer outside, join the Outdoors Adventures Camp at the Mount Rainier Nature Center or learn photography skills like how to shoot landscapes, portraits or close-ups. And everyone loves video games, so why not join a camp that spends the summer creating your own at the Wayne K. Curry Sports & Learning Center? There are also a number of camps that are for all ages, including many sports camps like basketball, cheerleading, dance, horseback riding and football. There is even a camp for those interested in being the next top model! There is something for everyone all throughout the county this summer, read about all the programs here: (http://issuu.com/pgparks/docs/sp_2013_teen-pre-teens?mode=window) and get ready to sign up to have the best summer ever Xtreme Teens!
