Looking to try your hand at a new type of art, play a new sport or learn a new skill? Register for one of many classes in Prince George’s County with everything from animation to hip-hop dance or ceramics classes offered this winter. There are class options for the whole family, some separated by age group and some with mixed ages. There are plenty of teen and preteen as well as young adult classes for you, Xtreme Teens! Take a class, for teens ages 10-17, in comic book making, creating a digital comic book at the end of four classes, starting in January and February. Interested in fashion? A new clothing design class at the Huntington Community Center starting in early January is for ages 15 and up. Learn valuable skills in a money management class at the Wayne K. Curry Sports and Learning Complex or take a public speaking class to hone your speech skills. There are all kinds of dance and sports classes offered. Learn ballet and hip-hop and everything in between or try a new sport such as tennis, ice-skating or boxing. If you’re handy with a camera, take a photography class starting mid-January at the Montpelier Arts Center. If you’re looking for a way to stay busy over winter break, take a short camp starting December 26, learning cheerleading, gymnastics, basketball, step and more! Find all these classes and so much more in the 2012-2013 Winter Guide. Make your new year’s resolution to learn something new at one of the many camps and classes offered this winter!
