Kick Off the Holiday Season by Visiting the Annual Winter Festival of Lights
Looking for a fun, family-friendly holiday event that doesn’t involve going out into the winter cold? Head to Watkins Regional Park to drive through the 26th Annual Winter Festival of Lights, on display until January 1 from 5 – 9:30 p.m. Entering the park, you see a big, bright sign welcoming you to the festival, as toy soldiers line the drive and welcome you in. For just a $5 fee per car (and free on Christmas Day), enjoy the holiday-themed light displays with over one million lights! From silly reindeer to clowns, Santa riding a motorcycle and even a patriotic display, there is truly everything imaginable made all out of lights. Arches cover the roadway and reindeer jump over your car as you travel through. Driving slowly past the lights, it’s fun to put on Christmas music and enjoy the sights! Bring a donation for the canned food drive to donate to the local food bank as well. So buckle up and head over to the exciting and festive Winter Festival of Lights this holiday season!
