Collect Old Toys to Donate to the Holiday Toy Drive

There comes a point in our lives where we’ve grown out of our Barbie’s, put our Hot Wheels away and retired our old stuffed animals. Now, those toys can find new life for those less fortunate this holiday season. Starting this Saturday, December 1, bring your old (or even new) toys to the Hillcrest Heights Community Center, on Oxon Run Drive in Temple Hill, to donate to the Holiday Toy Drive. Benefitting the S.O.M.E. (So Others Might Eat) organization, your donated toys will go to children and their families in the D.C. area in need. The S.O.M.E. organization, provides food, clothing, health care and more to those less fortunate and believes in the spirit of giving this holiday season. So bring your old toys to the community center, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. until Wednesday December 19 to do your part in helping the community and giving your old toys a new life!
