Head to Farmer’s Markets This November
Looking for a fun way to spend the weekend while stocking up on fresh, local and yummy goodies? Visit one of the 18 farmer’s markets in Prince George’s County! Oxon Hill to Greenbelt, markets offer fresh fruits and vegetables, local dairy and meat products, homemade baked goods and much much more! The Cheverly community market, held at 6401 Forest Road on alternating Saturdays, offers live music and local crafts amongst it’s foods. You can even find Cheverly Mayor Mike Callahan there some weeks! The city of College Park even offers three markets, at the Wells-Linson Complex on Saturdays, near City Hall on Sundays and on the University of Maryland campus on Wednesdays. Many markets, including the Riverdale market on Thursdays, accepts WIC Coupons too! Visit these markets fast, however, as some close mid-November. Happy eating Xtreme Teens and Preteens!
