Have you spotted the Xtreme Teens Street Team at your school?
The Xtreme Teens Street Team has been visiting several schools throughout Prince George’s County Maryland ensuring that the community is aware of the awesome programs available to youth both afterschool and on the weekends. Parents have the opportunity to get all of their questions answered and a detailed description of the multitude of events, programs and activities that the Xtreme Teens program has to offer. Teens are provided information on how they can represent the ‘youth voice’ of Prince Georges County by becoming a part of the street team and helping create innovative ideas to market youth programs. The street team is out in the community to hear what the community needs and wants so that the Maryland National Capital Park and Planning Commission can continue to improve the quality of life for the citizens of Prince George’s County.
Everyone that visits our outreach table leaves with something! If you’re a parent you’re provided information on how to get your son/daughter a M-NCPPC Youth ID card as well as flyers, guides including time, date and location for upcoming events. Teens are asked what community center they frequent and what activities they enjoy and are provided information on the programs that fit their interest along with volunteer information. Pre-teens, parents and teens are provided with nice giveaways for both school and recreational use.
Coming soon the Street Team will be at various events including football games. Will you spot the Street Team? Here’s a hint…if you see an Xtremely cool truck outside with Xtreme Teens on the side, an Xtremely cool table, the colors red, black and white and a smiling face you’ve found the right place to find out all of the great experiences Prince Georges County has to offer.
