Dressed to impress teens from all over Prince George’s County eXcitedly boarded the Spirit of Washington for an amazing dinner cruise along the Potomac River. Prior to boarding teens had the opportunity to ‘capture the moment’ as the photographer snapped pictures of each group entering the loading dock. Once on the Spirit of Washington many were too surprised by the ambiance to eXpress their eXcitement.
As eyes wandered around the room smiles were seen upon each face that entered the climate controlled deck. Teens were treated to a fine dining eXperience with breathtaking views of Washington DC surrounding them. They were able to enjoy a full course meal and dessert all while being entertained by the DJ who played one hit song after another. For three hours teens strolled around the outside observation deck taking in all the historic sites, peace and beauty nature has to offer. They also enjoyed dancing the evening away inside on the dance floor as the sunset and the moon ascended. Teens showed major support when Prince George’s County native, Royalty, was called to the dance floor to rap. Royalty has also performed at this year’s Teen Fest Safe Summer Kick-Off event and is known for engaging the crowd through his use of catchy phrases, metaphors, rhythm and flow.
As the cruise came to an end it seemed no one was ready to go not even the chaperones. The evening was eXtremely beautiful. The teens were eXposed to nature and the arts while also having the opportunity to practice fine dining etiquette as well as the art of dinner conversation. As the teens departed the Spirit of Washington many purchased their photos that were taken at the start of the cruise while others were too distracted talking about all the great memories attained in three hours. They boarded the buses home full, entertained, relaxed and tired. You do not want to miss the next eXperience!!
