Fresh Fest 2013 Is An Amazing Night Of Summer Fun

This year, the annual Safe Summer Fresh Fest did not only meet expectations, it exceeded them, with so many awesome things to do and performances to see! Teens and their families from all over the area came out in large numbers to enjoy all there was to offer at the Glenarden Community Center on Saturday, August 3 for what was sure to be a night full of summer fun. There was face painting, a DJ, crafts, Ritas, a campfire with s'mores and more! In between activities, teens and their families could grab hotdogs and chips as well! Though the weather posed a little bit of a problem -- the basketball tournament had to be brought inside and the football and tennis competitions were cancelled -- the teens and the dedicated crew made the best of it, and it turned out to be a great night! All night long, the stage was rocking with awesome teen performers doing everything from sing R&B to rap and dance. Performers included Jenny Lin, Desi, rapper ELPG, singing and dancing trio Untaymed (pictured), BKR and the always amazing Raw Element Dance Company. The night ended with a fun Go-Go concert that got everyone dancing. It was another great Safe Summer night!
