This spring in Prince George’s County, there are many exciting opportunities to get out and play your favorite sport with many clinics and leagues about to start! Boys and girls ages 7-15 can come to free baseball clinics, the first of which is this Saturday, April 6, conducted by local high school coaches. Bring your baseball equipment to perfect your swing or catching at many different locations throughout the spring. Sign up now because the first 100 to register will get 2 tickets to a future Washington Nationals game! Is softball more your speed? Girls ages 7-14 can participate in outdoor/indoor softball clinics in the Department’s new program! Held April 7-28 and May 5-19 in Upper Marlboro, come out and enjoy the sport! Xtreme Teens can also participate in a co-ed flag football league for ages 6-14. Practices start this week and games begin May 4, so call your local community center today for more information. But don’t forget, there are tons of jogging trails, parks, athletic facilities and pools available in the county for whatever sport you’re interested in. Get out and enjoy it teens! (Info about baseball clinics here: http://www.pgparks.com/Things_To_Do/Sports/baseball_clinics.htm. SMARTlink for Softball is #1142116 and #1142165) Photo: Marketa Ebert
