Get Moving! Xtreme opportunities to make a move
Looking for a way to get active with other teens? Prince George’s Community Centers have many opportunities available to xtreme teens with any interests, in each area of the county. This weekend alone offers basketball at Glassmanor, an obstacle course at College Park, fitness boot camp at Prince George’s Plaza, Flag Football at Hillcrest Heights, Open Gym at South Bowie, and ice skating or laser tag field trips at various Xtreme Teens locations. For the active teen, Prince George’s offers a gold mine of opportunities, and not just this weekend either. Often during Xtreme Teens hours, activities and open gym time take place so teens can take advantage of a safe place to run around. Fifteen-year-old Dajon Profitt, who attends Xtreme Teens almost every week, including the summer weeks, said that having the chance to play sports and games is just what he needs. “I like it ‘cause I can get active, exercise, get strength,” he said. For more ways to play in Prince George’s, check out the calendar each week for your favorite type of activity.
