In week 2, our teens continued the bonding process with an evening of energy expelling fun. The teens came equipped in their most comfortable workout gear and quickly became acquainted with fitness instructor Ro. Ro took the Debs and Beaus through a number work out line dances include the Cupid Shuffle and the Wobble. The teens were then pushed a little more past their limit participating in Ro specialty - punch, punch, burpee, & push up challenge.
Later the teens switched gears and moved along to some circuit training, this time with Jovan from KJ Fitness. The Debs and Beaus moved from station to station participating in various exercises such as: arm stretches, pushups, dancing, sit ups, leg stretches, jumping jacks, and more.
The Debs and Beaus did a great job for their first fitness challenges with Ro & Jovan. They learned a lot! Here are some of their comments:
• “A great way to begin the season! I learned about the power of self-esteem and how to take care of my health” – Alexis Nesblett
• “Tonight’s activities help with self-esteem by getting rid of stress” – Jordan Woodruff
• “Tonight was fun. I enjoyed taking pictures given that I was unable to participate. I learned how to dance as well as how to take pictures” – Kristen Ransome
• “I felt tonight’s activities were tiring. I learned that I need to stretch and get exercise to stay fit and healthy” – Gaibrielle Bressler
