Artomatic at Busboys and Poets Artists Call

For the past 10 years, Busboys and Poets has welcomed local and regional visual artists to exhibit at its locations. The mixtures of art in these spaces question, explore, enlighten and share a vision of social issues and beauty. It’s the Busboys’ aesthetic!
The Busboys and Artomatic Art Exhibition will be spread across all six locations and be on display from September 27 thru January 9th, 2016. We are encouraging submissions in three categories: 2-D images, selected 3-D works that do not require floor space, (i.e., can be placed on ledges or bookshelves, etc.) and location specific installations. ELIGIBILITY
The exhibition is open to artists from the DC metropolitan area, inclusive of Virginia and Maryland who have previously participated in Artomatic events in 2009, 2012 and 2013.
WORK TO BE CONSIDERED
2-D images must come ready to hang with wire.
3-D works that do not require floor space inside will be considered for indoor display and large 3D work to be displayed outside will be considered if the work is able to endure extreme weather conditions may not pose any safety concerns for visitors. Please recognize that outdoor installations are limited.
Installations
Installations are highly encouraged. If your piece is site specific, please make it clear in your submission. We highly recommend that artists research locations.
