Final Days of Willie Cole: On Site Exhibit
Willie Cole: On Site is entering its final few days at the David C. Driskell Center.

This exhibition presents highlights from the body of work by contemporary African American artist Willie Cole, a master of transforming everyday objects into works of art alluding to the African American experience and inspired by West African religion. The exhibition features nearly two dozen three-dimensional artworks which Cole created from 2006-2016 and focuses on three main materials: found wood, used shoes, and recycled water bottles.

This exhibition is held place at the David C. Driskell Center Gallery, located at 1207 Cole Student Activities Building at the University of Maryland, College Park.

The Driskell Center Gallery’s hours are Monday through Friday from 11AM to 4PM with extended hours on Wednesday until 6PM. The Driskell Center Gallery will additionally be open on Saturday, Sept. 24th, Oct. 8th, and Nov. 5th from 11AM to 4PM. The Driskell Center observes all University of Maryland closings due to inclement weather and holidays.
