Be On the Lookout For the New Arts On a Roll Van!
A new mobile arts initiative is rolling out this summer, bringing art projects and much more to a community center or park near you! M-NCPPC’s new Mobile Art Van will begin travelling around the county this summer, bringing many fun arts programs to teen and community events. Two popular programs include the popular collage and t-shirt workshop. You can bring images from almost anywhere – the Internet, photos, the newspaper, etc. – to create a dynamic work of art that is sure to be a great keepsake! There are also opportunities to work on a community-wide chalk quilt and learn how to paint patterns. The goal of the project is to bring arts and fun to neighborhoods that may have little arts programs or classes in school. The Arts On a Roll program has already partnered with the programs you’ve come to love including Café Groove, Safe Summer and Come Out and Play. So, teens, be on the lookout for the Mobile Art Van at your next PG Xtreme Teen event as a way to bring out your inner Picasso and create unique works of art!
