Meet the Artists of Shakespeare In The Parks: As You Like It Willem Krumich: Jacques/Charles the Wrestler What's your background? I've been in love with theater as long as I can remember, and that crystallized when I performed in American Shakespeare Center's youth camp. Since then, I've performed in areas all over Virginia, DC, and Baltimore. What’s your favorite thing about performing in front of a live audience? There's something magical about a live audience, both on and off the stage. We're not selling a product, as you would find on the screen. We're enriching the human experience. It takes something special to create a fantasy world in front of an audience, reacting in real time. What has been the most surprising or delightful thing about creating this production of "As You Like It"? The most surprising thing about this production, for me, is the quality of the music that is in the show. I've never enjoyed these words as much before, and the live band throughout is stellar.
