• An entry fee of $40 paid to East City Art Media LLC via Submittable (online application portal)

• Gallery O on H located at 1354 H Street NE in the heart of the Atlas Entertainment District
Exhibition Dates
• Opening Reception Sat. April 9
• People’s Choice Awards: Sat. April 16
• Exhibition on view April 9-15, 2016 with weeklong programming such as panel discussions & artist talks

EMULSION 2016 HIGHLIGHTS
• People’s Choice Award—Compliments of Plaza Artist Materials and Picture Framing. Audience members will choose their two favorite artists by April 15 via text. We will announce the two winners on Saturday April 16. Each winner will receive a $150 gift card for use at Plaza.
• Weeklong Programming—EMULSION opens on Saturday April 9 and closes Saturday, April 16 with programming every day of the week.
• Complimentary EMULSION Catalog for ALL Participants—all artists receive a complimentary EMULSION 2016 catalog.
Qualifications
• This call for entry is open to all residents 18 years of age or over who reside or create art within 50 miles of East City Art’s headquarters located at 922 G Street SE.
IMPORTANT DATES
• Entry Deadline: February 15, 2016
• Juror Review: February 16 - February 29
• Artist Notification: March 1
• Artist Response: March 4
• Acceptance list published on East City Art: March 7
• Participating artist—high-res image of accepted work, artist photo & statement due: March 7
• Drop-off: April 1-3
• Install: April 4-8
• Opening Night: April 9
• Programming: April 9-16
• People’s Choice Awards: April 9
• Strike and pick-up: April 17 or by arrangement at East City Art offices the week of April 18.
• Unless a special arrangement has been made, artist will forfeit any work remaining at East City Art offices after April 23, 2016
