Fame Jazz Band Applications Open

FAME – Foundation for the Advancement of Music & Education, Inc., invites middle and high school students who live and/or attend school in Prince George’s County Maryland to apply to its FAME Jazz Band Program (FJBP). Home schooled students are encouraged to apply.

Applicants must be committed to playing their musical instrument and performing jazz music. FJBP members receive year-round high caliber music instruction, academic and college prep instruction. They perform on major stages and participate in FAME’s signature music
technology and enrichment programs at the University of Maryland College Park and other area venues. FAME’s overall goal is to bring a diverse group of talented students together to learn, practice and perform in a dynamic jazz band. This program is provided at no cost to participants.
