Instructors Needed For Junior Academy for the Performing Arts (JAPA)
We are seeking qualified teaching artists to teach at JAPA (The Junior Academy for the Performing Arts), a musical theatre program for children to teens (8-17) through M-NCPPC. The classes will be offered at The Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center on the Campus of the University of Maryland.

Specifically, we are looking for a Director who's comfortable with teaching acting and a Vocal Coach/Musical Director who can play piano.

Instructors should have a Bachelor’s degree in one of these disciplines, OR 5 years of equivalent experience in professional performance and/or teaching. You will teach students the fundamentals of musical theater performance as well put together a performance for the end of the session. Classes run from January 28th-April 8, 2017 (10 weeks) with performances April 8th and 9th. Classes are offered on Saturdays (9AM-12PM, 1PM-4PM) and Sundays (1:30PM-4:30PM) with a maximum of 20 students in each class. Must be available for performance dates. Salary commensurate with experience.
