You are invited on Thursday, August 18, 6-9 PM to the FREE "Family Night Poetry Open Mic" at Annie's Art Gallery. You are invited to share your poems, songs or other artistic expressions, by you or by someone else. Djembe (African) drummer, Doc Powell, will perform and accompany poets upon request at Family Night. Visual Artists are invited to come share and discuss the unique creative techniques. Youth Advocate Denise M. Joseph co-sponsors this event coordinating teen/young adult artists presenting poetry and other arts-based messages of personal expression. Additionally, Angela Puryear of Pure Hostess co-sponsors this event through reception set-up, decoration and display. Light refreshments will be served. Free off-street parking. All ages are welcomed to attend and perform at this free monthly (6-9 pm every 3rd Thursday) community arts event. Join us as we celebrate the arts, the community and you.
